Wilder Gowbarrow

Wilder Gowbarrow is a hybrid of rewilding and regenerative grazing.

"Gowbarrow Hall Farm is a family run farm on the south facing shores of Ullswater in the Lake District. The farm is under the management of Sam and Claire Beaumont, as the third generation, who are passionate about maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape and enriching the wildlife that falls within it as well as ensuring the farm can sustain itself as a business, producing high quality food. They are caring for the environment and are conscious of how farming fits within the wider global issues that our planet is facing." Wilderculture

In the spring of 2020 the Fell Pony Heritage Trust, with the help of Sam and Claire Beaumont, reintroduced a small group of Fell Ponies back to Gowbarrow Hall Farm on the shores of Ullswater, to see if the ponies would fit into the farms regenerative farming project.

Today, the Fell Ponies are a key part of the farm’s ecosystem and along with the Beaumont's herd of Beef Shorthorn cattle and Kune Kune pigs, they continue to contribute to maintaining the natural landscape of the farm and the diversity of the wildlife on it.
