Experience the remarkable skill of horse logger Andrew Letten as he works with his native Fell and Dales ponies to snig out timber on the beautiful Gowbarrow Hall Farm estate near Ullswater - map to the site on the farm. This is a rare opportunity to see these strong, intelligent ponies demonstrating traditional woodland management—sustainable, quiet, and deeply connected to the land.

Andrew will share insights into how horse logging supports conservation work while keeping alive an important part of our rural heritage. You’ll see teamwork, patience, and power in perfect balance as horse and handler move timber with care and precision.

Places for this special demonstration are strictly limited to 10 people per session, so early booking is essential.

Morning session at 10:30am to 12:30pm and a second Afternoon session 2pm to 4pm.
