Libby Robinson
Globtrotter Fell Pony Stud

The Globetrotter Stud was founded in 1989, but became a well established breeding herd in France in the early 200's, where Libby also set up the French Branch for the Fell Pony Society to promote the breed.

Then in the winter of 2018 Libby relocated the Globetrotter herd from France to re-establish them as a semi-wild herd on a Cumbrian Fell.

The large lorry transporting 11 fell ponies back to Cumbria from France.
Today the herd are settled back into their native home and running up on the fells as well as carrying out valuable conservation work at Gowbarrow on mixed habitat of woodland, old parkland and craggy outcrops.

The Globetrotter Stud are holding on to the older bloodlines by breeding from mares that bring back to their foals the grandparents and great-grandparents such as Tebay Paddy, Tebay Campbell Ton Victor and Heltondale Black Prince III as well as Dene Honour and Dene Debonair of the Dene line which is now getting rare.
